It's here. Time to deliver. 21/12/2015, Info

Well, the week has finally come. Our highest ever number of customers ordering in one week, our highest volume of food, and our largest number of producers fulfilling orders. I thought I'd write a few lines to you, our customers, to give you an insight into whats happening this week that's ohhhh so different from traditional mass food retailers.

First, fresh-range is an independent run by local people. I was born and raised in Bristol as was Megan (our Customer Operations Manager). Leigh, who has driven our van with us since we launched in 2014 is also a Bristle lad through and through. Our depot team in Glastonbury are all local Somerset people too (except Chrystele who is our french expat on the team). So, whilst we're an online company, we're real people and you only have to call us (tel. 0117 332 2813) for a chat to find out we're all pretty friendly too.

Second, you've pre-ordered your entire Xmas food shop which means across the early part of this week we are fulfilling all of your orders fresh and direct from the producer so you'll have food that's straight from the source on your table this year. So far, we've collected olives and freshly ground coffee from St Jude's; chickpeas, toilet rolls and other Essential store cupboard items from Fishponds; eggs and cheese from Arlingham (still warm when I collected them as laid this morning) and Leonard Stanley in Gloucestershire respectively and Turkeys and cockerels from Radstock in Somerset. Across the next couple of days, among others, dry aged beef is coming from the still thriving pastures of Luke Hasell's farm in Chew Stoke and unhomogenised milk from the Godminster herd in Bruton and Midway farm near Shepton Mallet. For our Tuesday and Wednesday deliveries we will consolidate the freshly baked bread from the fabulous baker boys in Chipping Sodbury each morning.

Third, its a joy. All of us feel so passionate, proud and excited to be delivering a sustainable change to food shopping for these great cities of Bristol and Bath, and frankly making our customers Christmas so special. Our purpose is for happy producers, happy team members and last but not least, later this week, we shall (at least mostly I hope!) have happy customers with an ultimate christmas food delivery of locally sourced food and drink.

Thank you for choosing fresh-range for your Christmas shop. Please keep shopping in 2016 and return those boxes please!
