Bristol Food Connections Needs You! 13/01/2016, Health & Lifestyle

Food Connections, is returning to Bristol for its 3rd year from 28th April – 7th May. This spectacular foodie event aims to bring people and good food together in a programme of over 100 events across the city.

A one of a kind event, it doesn’t follow a normal food festival format; it encourages and enables individuals, communities and organisations to host their own events that are curated as part of the wider programme.

The Food Connections Team are calling for the people of Bristol to get involved and come forward with ideas for events that they would like to run as part of the festival programme. Events must help Food Connections achieve its goal of connecting people with each other and with good food in some way.

Specifically, they’re looking for ideas that fall under six themes of Wellbeing, Families, Brain Food, Get Cooking, Land & Growing and Feasting & Festivities. Past events have included a Spice Festival in Easton, a coffee rave in St Werburghs, a Hoedown in Bedminster and wild food walks in Knowle, Blaise Estate and Brandon hill, but there are so many more communities in Bristol and ideas to explore. Food Connections is all about inclusiveness and diversity, so the organisers are keen to hear from residents in all areas of Bristol.

To submit your idea, all you need to do is visit www.bristolfoodconnections.com/event-ideas and fill out the form as soon as possible. Successful event ideas will receive the support and advice needed to host the event during the festival.
