Blue Vinny Woodbridge FarmLife 5d+* V
This is one of the most well-known and well-loved blue cheeses across the land. Even hundreds of years ago it was a cheese to be found in the kitchens of most farmhouses. Lucky for us one of these 300-year old recipes was discovered by Michael Davis about 35 years ago. He now meticulously crafts this gorgeously veined blue from his own herd of Friesian cows’ milk.
Blue Vinny packs a punch in terms of strength of flavour. It’s a touch stronger than Stilton and the deep, earthy blueness works with a creamy, lighter base. This is a classic, which deserves a glass of Port or ruby red wine.
